What is a Migraine?
Migraines vary from person to person, and can
be hard to differentiate from an everyday headache.
Migraine signs and symptoms may be hard to identify
unless you are informed on the signs and symptoms.
Here are the most common symptoms of a migraine
Throbbing pain, usually most of the time occurring
on one side of your head, but can occur in both,
this pain is so intense that can keeps you from
your everyday tasks
Sensitivity to light, even a dimmed light or
candle
Sensitivity to sound, even the slightest sound
irrigates you
Nausea
Most migraines attacks come on without warning.
Three out of ten people that have migraines
have signs that a migraine attack is about to
strike. These signs are often called Auras.
These auras usually last less than an hour.
Here are some of the most common signs/auras
to look for that will warn you that a migraine
attack is about to strike
The sudden felling of tiredness
Sudden burst of energy out of nowhere
Depression or sudden sadness
Sudden cravings of certain foods
Yawning repeatedly
Troubled vision such as flashing lights, blurriness,
blind spots, or jagged lines
Finding it hard to focus on things
Sometimes your face, lips and hands will tingle
or go numb
Arms and legs go weak
Trouble with remembering and/or understanding
information
Trouble with speech as in wording sentences,
and sometimes loss of speech all together
Problems corresponding what are said when spoken
to you.
Migraines are classified as a true medical
problem just as arthritis or diabetes.
Although there are no cures for migraine they
can be controlled in most cases.
One way to avoid migraines is to avoid anything
that triggers your migraines.
Another way is to medicate the problem, this
will not cure them but will ease to troubles
and help you through the migraine attack.
